POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Oversee Product Development from concept to commercialization, including product design and formulation. Provide technical guidance on the purchase of raw materials, ingredients, and equipment. Ensure that seafood, ingredient, and packaging material suppliers meet with all applicable regulations and standards. Responsible for ensuring compliance with FDA, New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, and third party food safety and quality auditing standards. Responsible for maintaining and upgrading HACCP procedures.
Must have a BS in Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field. Must have at least 10 years of QA managerial experience. Must have experience working within an FDA regulated facility. Must have excellent computer skills including: MS Word, Excel, Publisher, & PowerPoint. Proficient knowledge of quality assurance and food safety standards, including BRC, SQF, ISO, HACCP Guidelines and CFR. Seafood industry experience a plus. Spanish a plus.
